STATEMENT:

Reclamation is a meditation of changes on natural landscape and changes introduced by peoples. Historically as immigration to the United States occurred distinct cultural groups settled in regions and introduced changes to the land adding to the layers already present. As our society has been come much more mobile, further human migrations occur daily, adding new layers to the area. However, land has its own influence. On many road trips I have witnessed flora beginning to grow and reclaim abandoned buildings.
